The world’s first “amp-on-a-record-in-a-box” pedal! All jokes aside, the Chrysalis is an all discrete, transistor based overdrive aimed at capturing the recorded sound of early 70’s era zeppelin. Wether it was a supro, a tweed or the cranked plexi live tones, the Chrysalis can bring you close but the playing is up to you. It’s voiced with a heavy emphasis on the midrange which makes it cut in a live band scenario. Never flabby, full of organic life and presence which helps push the guitar forward with loads of clarity and harmonics. It’s not an over the top high gainer, it’s more natural in it’s break up. The Chrysalis really shines when you open it up at giggin’ levels, it’s meant to be played loud. |
